A proud graduate of Jones Senior High School (1978), Vic pursued higher education at Winston-Salem State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Accounting in 1982.

Shannon is a true mentor at heart, went to Appalachian State University and graduated with a degree in Secondary Education. She decided to try hospitality after one year of teaching in public schools and fell in love with the gift to serve others. Shannon has 20+ years in hotel sales, tourism promotion, event management, and revenue strategies.

Dr. Meloney Michelle Miller

Dr. Meloney Michelle Miller is known as, “The Woman in the Back of Success.” She has dedicated her life to sharpening the blades of Kings and Queens. She sharpens daily on the knowledge of her career that has included Failure and Success! She has been blessed to sharpen leaders across vast areas of expertise from public figures, government agencies to corporate CEOs.

Marcel Anderson

Marcel Anderson is a Neo Soul, R&B, Contemporary & Soul Jazz recording artist whose electrifying yet soothing sound continues to captivate audiences nationwide. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Marcel’s musical journey began at just eight years old with a powerful solo performance of “Give Us This Day.” Raised in a musically rich family, including his twin brother, renowned saxophonist Marcus Anderson, Marcel’s talent was nurtured early through church choirs and local performances.

With 38 years of experience in financial services sales, I am currently an independent contractor with Association Member Benefits Advisors (AMBA), where I specialize in providing supplemental benefits to retired educators and state employees. My passion for smooth jazz fuels my travels across the country, where I enjoy following my favorite artists and attending jazz festivals.

Nancy Koeper

Nancy Koeper was born and raised in New York. She is a retired UPS president who dedicated 30 years to UPS. In her former position she relocated several times and managed the largest UPS territory serving as a UPS President based in Seattle, WA. While in this position, Nancy managed 6 states, 11,000 employees, and $2.1 billion dollar customer base.

Dr. William Logan

A two-time graduate of South Carolina State University, Dr. William T. Logan, III began his professional career as a high school English teacher in St. George, SC in 1997 while pursuing and earning his master’s degree in Counselor Education in 2000.   He was the recipient of the Sallie Mae Outstanding First Year Teacher Award for his district in 1998. 

ShaRanda Stephens

ShaRanda brings a passionate commitment to youth, community, and the arts to the Marcus Anderson Foundation board. A dedicated advocate for Black and Brown students in Durham, she believes deeply in creating intentional community connections that open doors and build collective pipelines of opportunity.

He furthered his studies at North Carolina State University, equipping himself with the knowledge and skills essential for his successful career.
Currently residing in Raleigh, North Carolina, Vic is a devoted father to two adult daughters, Brittany Bruinton Stewart, and Candice Bruinton, and actively participates in his faith community at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Professional Career

He began his professional career in transportation in 1982 and was employed for 12 years in corporate America with the top three transportation companies in the Fortune’s Sector leaders.
Since 1994, he has served as the President and CEO of Bestway Express, Inc., a global multimillion-dollar transportation operations management company. In this role, he oversees the cycle of transportation and business operations, ensuring the efficient handling of goods and services. His analytical skills drive improvements in company performance, making a significant impact on the industry.
Additionally, Vic is the owner of B&C Enterprises / Great Foods, LLC, further showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

In tandem, he celebrates a decade of entrepreneurship as the founder of AND Coffee, his premium coffee brand, which mirrors the same boldness and richness found in his music. His commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation has made AND Coffee a staple among fans and coffee lovers alike.

Shannon Groff

Biography

Shannon is a true mentor at heart, went to Appalachian State University and graduated with a degree in Secondary Education. This includes being part of the opening team for the Raleigh Marriott City Center as well as leading the sale team for the Durham Hilton. Her love of sales and working with stakeholders brought her to Discover Durham where she led the sales team for the CVB and helped increase economic impact for the city. Shannon is a relationship builder and works with meeting planners, tour operators and corporate clients.
Her expertise in setting goals, creating strategies to achieve them and cultivating cultures, brings her to Louisville, KY where she is now the Dual Director of Sales for HVMG. Shannon is a part of professional and community organizations such as MPI-CC, NCGBTA and NAMI. Shannon comes from a family of dancers while her parents are both listed in the Shaggers Hall of Fame. She is not afraid to bust out some moves with anyone who wants to join in. When Shannon is not working, you will find her on a hiking trail with here two beautiful girls or at the Dog Park with her best buddy, Stella.

She was also responsible for leading senior management team comprised of Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Labor Relations, Human Resources, and Ground and Air Operations. Nancy’s proficiency and attentiveness provides her clients with brilliant assistance every step of the way! She is family oriented and loves to spend time traveling with family and friends. Nancy is extremely devoted to those around her and her community.

Dr. William Logan

Biography

A two-time graduate of South Carolina State University, Dr. William T. Logan, III began his professional career as a high school English teacher in St. George, SC in 1997 while pursuing and earning his master’s degree in Counselor Education in 2000.   He was the recipient of the Sallie Mae Outstanding First Year Teacher Award for his district in 1998.  In 2000, he furthered his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education Administration and Supervision in 2002. 
After serving as the Director of the Odyssey Educational Center, Dr. Logan relocated to North Carolina where he worked as an assistant principal in Wake and Durham counties from 2003-2007.  Dr. Logan was selected as the founding principal of Hillside New Tech High School in 2007.  Under his leadership, the school boasted a 100% graduation rate in 2011—the only high school in the Triangle to achieve this accomplishment that year.  Dr. Logan was asked to lead Hillside High School

Her love for music, education, and service fuels her mission to help every young person feel seen, supported, and inspired to lead. A proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University, ShaRanda is also a devoted wife and mother of four daughters, drawing daily inspiration from her family and community.
